Hi,
I’m Amy Trinnaman—a certified career counselor and experienced college advisor committed to connecting students (and now adults) to opportunity through thoughtful, personalized guidance.
With over two decades of experience in education, I’ve helped thousands of students clarify their direction, strengthen their applications, and confidently pursue both college and career goals. My professional background spans college advising, career exploration, special education, instruction, NCAA eligibility, dual enrollment coordination, school law and policy, and standardized testing administration.

I believe the college admissions process is most powerful when it’s grounded in self-awareness. As a certified practitioner of both the Highlands Ability Battery and the Strong Interest Inventory, I help students understand their natural aptitudes, interests, and personal strengths—so they can make informed, inspired decisions about college majors, career paths, and future goals. Career exploration isn’t something that happens after college—it’s a critical part of the conversation from the start.

And while my primary focus continues to be students navigating the college process, I’ve also expanded my work to include career counseling for adults seeking clarity, transition support, or a more meaningful professional path. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to recalibrate your direction, the foundation is the same: understanding how your strengths and interests connect to real-world opportunities.

Beyond my work with private clients, I am committed to educational equity, mentoring students through the QuestBridge application process, volunteering with Ukraine Global Scholars, and supporting students as part of The College Essay Guy’s Matchlighters program.

Whether you’re preparing for college, rethinking your career, or just exploring your next step, I’m here to help you connect your abilities, goals, and values to opportunities that feel right—for you.

Here to help every step of the way,
Amy
